How New Life Linen started
I was in a hotel (bored) once and noticed that the linen was
all in perfect condition; I realised that hotel linen is always
perfect.
So what happens to the stuff that isn't quite perfect? I asked
around and discovered that small flaws in a towel –
pulled threads – sentenced it to become a mechanics rag; and a small
stain turns a perfectly good tablecloth into a painters dust sheet. And
worse!
I supposed some pretty serviceable towels and napkins might even
be heading for landfill sites.
I found a commercial laundry that was willing to make some
effort to help the environment by sorting still serviceable linen
from the genuine end of life stuff, we agreed that it was still
worth more than raw cotton and people would love to use high quality
towels, sheets and tablecloths especially if they could buy them at
such bargain prices.
So New Life Linen was born and is filling a need for many people in these tough “credit crunch” times.
It's great to know that the environment is better for recycling and more
people are enjoying quality cotton duvet covers at bargain prices
even in these austere times.
